The Mosaic Challenge

Three mosaics, in order. Nine fragments each, one new fragment a day. Twenty-seven days — three finished pictures.

  1. One picture is cut into a 3×3 grid of nine fragments.
  2. Each fragment is its own 64-piece jigsaw — about ten calm minutes.
  3. Solve all nine and the picture is revealed — then the next mosaic unlocks. One new fragment a day, so a mosaic takes nine days.

A 27-day puzzle challenge

The Mosaic Challenge is a simple promise to yourself: one jigsaw fragment a day, for 27 days. Three big pictures are waiting. Each is cut into a 3×3 grid of nine fragments, and each fragment is a full 64-piece jigsaw of its own — about ten calm minutes with a cup of something warm.

The mosaics open in order. You begin with the harbour town; the enchanted forest unlocks the moment the harbour is complete, and the coral reef after the forest. Inside a mosaic a new fragment unlocks every day, counted from the day you first open it — nine days per picture, twenty-seven for the whole challenge.

Missed a day? Nothing is lost: the fragments you skipped stay open, so you can catch up whenever you like. Your progress lives in this browser — no account, no sign-up — and if you'd like a quiet daily reminder, you can turn one on right after your first fragment.

When the last fragment clicks into place, the whole picture is revealed. Finish all three and you have kept a daily puzzle habit for almost a month — which, in our experience, is the hard part of any habit. Ready? Day one is waiting above.

Mosaic Challenge — questions
Why only one fragment a day?
Because a daily ten-minute ritual is what makes the picture feel earned. If you would rather solve nine puzzles in one evening, the rest of the site is exactly that — 210 free jigsaws with no waiting.
Can I play the mosaics out of order?
No — the challenge is a sequence. The second mosaic unlocks when the first is complete, and the third after the second. Each finished picture opens the next.
What happens if I skip a few days?
The fragments you missed stay unlocked. Solve two or three in one sitting and you are back on schedule; the 27 days are a rhythm, not a deadline.
Do I need an account?
No. Your progress is kept in this browser, on this device. Clearing the site's data starts the challenge over.
