Puzzle maker

Jigsaw puzzle maker.
Your photo, in pieces.

Choose a picture, pick how many pieces, and start solving. It all happens in this browser tab — the photo never leaves your device, and nothing is kept when you close it.

How many pieces?
How it works

Three steps, no account

01
Pick a photo

Anything on your device — a holiday shot, the dog, a child's drawing. It is read straight from the file, not sent anywhere.

02
Choose the size

A four-piece warm-up for a small child, or a hundred-and-forty-four-piece evening for yourself.

03
Start solving

The picture falls apart on screen and you put it back together, with a dotted outline to lean on when you want it.

Your photo

It never leaves this device

There is no upload step and no server in the middle. Your browser reads the file, cuts it into pieces and draws them on the page. Close the tab and nothing is left behind — which also means a half-finished puzzle disappears if you reload.

Questions about the maker
Is the puzzle maker free?
Yes, and there is no account to make. Build as many puzzles as you like, from as many photos as you like.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The picture is opened by your browser and cut into pieces on your own machine. It is never sent to us, and we never see it.
How many pieces can I choose?
4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 64, 81, 100, 121 or 144. Four pieces suits a toddler; a hundred and forty-four is a proper sitting.
Which picture formats work?
JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF work everywhere. HEIC photos straight from an iPhone open in Safari but not in Chrome or Firefox — set the camera to “Most Compatible” to get JPGs instead.
Why is my photo cropped to a square?
The pieces are cut on a square grid, so the puzzle is square too. You choose which part of the picture is used by dragging it before you start.
Can I save a puzzle and come back to it?
Not at the moment. Nothing is stored anywhere, so closing or reloading the tab starts you over. It is the same trade that keeps your photo private.
Can I print the puzzle or cut it on a machine?
No — this one is made for solving on screen. If you want a printable template or a file for a cutting machine, you want a different kind of tool.
